My Experience
Working with Kelleher Built was, without question, the worst contractor experience I have ever had.
The primary issues I encountered included poor project budgeting and billing practices, the absence of a clear written change-order process, charges that I believed were excessive—approximately 50% greater than the original contract amount—unfinished work, and workmanship that I considered unacceptable and ultimately had to have redone by other professionals.
It was astonishing to me how little direct involvement there appeared to be from the owner/operator. In my experience, the owner was largely hands-off, while much of the billing and bookkeeping communication appeared to be handled by family members. This contributed to what I felt was a lack of clear accountability and effective project oversight.
This website reflects my personal experience and opinions based on my project and the records I retained.
Look for three things in a person: intelligence, energy and integrity. If they don’t have the last, don’t bother with the first two.
